Moving into the Police State
There is a lot news out that is not pretty, especially when looking around at what is happening in our world as governments are increasingly going "out of control" in order to control their populations, particularly in the USA.
Let's see, you probably all know of the case of the swat teams and the many alphabet soup agencies of the feds and California state gov moving in to shut down a members food co-op because the owners were very bad people selling raw milk and organic produce.
Or in another raw milk case in Wisconsin, a case which ultimately hinged on fundamental rights issues, the circuit court judge flat out told the owners of the dairy that they DO NOT have a fundamental right to own and use a dairy cow or a dairy herd, they DO NOT have a fundamental right to consume the milk from their own cow, they DO NOT have a fundamental right to board their cow at the farm of a farmer, a private contract does not fall outside the scope of the State's police power, and to put the feather in the cap, they DO NOT have a fundamental right to produce and consume foods of their choice.
As the article above put into other words:
"Put down that carrot and back up slowly. Anything you eat or grow can be used against you in a court of law. You have now entered the police state of 1984. Shut up."
Then we have the FDA proposal for the dietary supplement takeover.
The EPA has moved to assume total control and ownership over private property if they believe it affects their interests.
And one we may be more familiar is Health and Human Services and the laboratory bureaucracy. Appears they too are moving to assume total control for any process done anywhere in the country for anything that might appear as though it is a laboratory process where human health is concerned.
Yep, when the world as we used to know it is collapsing all around us, it is going to take some thinking and some learning to help navigate barriers to freedom and self action that are continually rising up.
I cannot emphasize enough that if you are in the health care business or want to be, you must strive to protect what you are doing by operating judiciously and putting your work into proper context, ALWAYS.
You can't be sleeping on this issue.
I urge you to become familiar with the concept of keeping things private with you and your clients.
There will be more on this in the future.
